December Article Natural Presence 2012 I AM So I am sitting in a restaurant with my husband and another couple. We are having a lovely time, there is lots of music, busy waitresses and waiters scurrying about quite efficiently. The first thing our waitress asks us is “Can I get you a drink?” Meaning from the bar of course. Well, I have not had any alcohol in a while, not since I made pizza dough with 1 cup of beer then finished the ¼ cup off so as not to waste it, followed by a quick hit of not being in control and not liking it at all! You see, with all of the energy work, the intuitive practice and meditation, I am not drawn to alcohol at all, it impairs my “true” vision so to speak. And I am enjoying that aspect of “seeing” clearly. So, since my children moved out the day before, and I had finished a long work week, I decided to have a glass of beer. What the heck, I AM emotional, a mother in separation from her children, I AM in the process of letting 22 years of parenting go as they move (only to Ottawa, ha ha ha) out on their own. So down it goes, cool, refreshing and then the burp comes. Ewe. What am I doing? I am going to enjoy it, I decide. No food in my belly, it hits me within ½ of the glass. Then appetizers come, I am back to normal. Happy, no pain, and not feeling intoxicated in the least. Not bad. I have another with dinner. And another after dinner. With food in my belly, I am still not feeling “drunk,” yet I am disconnected from my emotional side, which I may add, I was happy to not be sad! Dinner ends, and the dance crowd comes in. We all sit and enjoy the music, a great country band is shaking the house down, it is super for a mom who hasn’t gotten out much! Another beer, slow intake. Wow, we are people watching. Then, wow! I see the spots on people. I can sense, feel and see places of imbalance, sore muscles, black spots. On one person, on the next and so on. “Hey, what are you doing?” I ask myself? I am supposed to see this stuff sober, why now? Well, the answer came, “because right now you are disconnected from your Ego. You are not thinking about seeing, hearing , sensing or feeling. You are sitting here, innocently, without expectation and it comes easily. The key lesson here, is to encorporate those same senses in every day life, without any assistance from substances such as alcohol or coffee. To be a healer without expectation. To allow the seeing, hearing, sensing and feeling unconditionally. To be I AM without a title attached. To step away from and disconnect from Ego. I am grateful for the lesson. And guess what? I can see! Join me in January for a workshop in putting together your 2013 Vision Board, Group Meditation and more. "I Can Do It" I am on cloud nine after attending the Hay House "I Can Do It" in Toronto this weekend. It was an amazing journey with three amazing women, and we learned, laughed, cried and talked! We were graced with sharing from Wayne Dyer, Bruce Lipton, Doreen Virtue and others. The information given to us was from the heart. Personal experiences were shared, scientific evidence was given and information from the universe was channelled. The essence of the weekend was heart centred. Our earth is in the cusp of a new flux, a fork in the road, between heart centred vibrations of love and peace versus money, war and power. No, I am not referring to any flower power from the 60's, this is the balance between spirit and matter. We are in a place to raise our vibrations, to live more from spirit and to rely less on ego. We are spiritual beings, sharing, experiencing, caring, and healing. Many earthly tasks are required from us, to bring our bodies into a deeper state of awareness. Some of those include detoxification, purifying our diet by eating fresh and organic. Also to positively place intentions or prayer on peace and well being of our selves, friends, family and the earth. To be more intune with our environment, change jobs if we need to abandon stress, to choose to be surrounded by loving, caring friends, to allow our children to experience spirit with an open heart. As we live more in spirit, from the heart, this can create a vibration that affects our environment, our community, our world. Be sure to check the web site www.earthlyessentials.ca as dates will be set so that you may come to view speakers from the conference via a saved recording of the weekend.

Power of Breath

We were brought into the world with an inhalation. We will leave this world with a final exhalation. In between we live. We breathe both consiously and subconsiously. We can hold our breathe. We can increase its rhythm with stress or anxiety. We can slow it down with deep inhalation of energy and exhalation of relaxation. The next wave of popularity will be Breathing.
When you become aware of your breathe, you bring yourself into the moment. You stop worrying, you stop thinking about the future. You become aware of the present condition of you body. Practice deep breathing, take note of your breathe. Allow your breathe to expand the diaphragm versus breathing from the chest and raising the shoulders. Expand the lungs, open the chest and heart. Relax the neck, shoulders and back. Be in the moment. Live.
